The truth is – you will never overcome oppression until you believe this one simple truth: that God will NEVER leave YOU. That’s right – God never leaves us – not even in the dark times.
“And the Lord, He is the one who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” (Deut. 31: 6-8, Joshua 1:5)
Why is it written so many times in the Bible that God will never leave us? God wants us to know that He is with us in EVERY situation. When we are being blessed, we tend to believe God is with us more than when tragedy happens or when we are going through a crisis, but God NEVER leaves us. We just think that He does. God NEVER forsakes us. We just think that He does. NEVER means NEVER . . . NOT EVER!
It is not easy to believe God is still in control when we hear about all the shootings, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, etc. It is not easy to believe God is still in charge when loved ones are sick and death occurs. It is not easy to believe God is still with us when we encounter trouble on every side.
Why don’t you begin today by boldly saying “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6) ‘He will never leave me or forsake me.’ This is His truth. This is His promise.
There is none like Him. Be strong. Be courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified, because the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave your nor forsake you.
